Ordrupgaard Museum of Art

Prequlified competition to extend Ordrupgaard Museum of Art. The original building exhibits paintings of French and Danish artists a.o.;  Alfred Sisley, Camille Pissarro, Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir and Wilhelm Hammershøi. The extension was proposed under the existing buildings, which include the extension by Zaha Hadid. Much effort was done to avoid the building to take any more attention away from the beautiful 1916′s house – like Hadid has done. Only  a simple staircase and some minor rearrangements was done on the groundfloor, leading down to a new central space with simple galleries on the side. With Arkitema and TransformationLab.
